Plan the perfect trip, one stop at a time

Wide Roam is the independent game studio of TRAVEL WIDE APP LIMITED in Birmingham. We design relaxing travel-planning puzzles for Android in which players build itineraries for fictional travellers with very particular wishes.

One traveller wants every museum but hates early starts; another wants beaches and trains but never buses. Each trip is a small puzzle of routes and timetables, shaped by what the traveller prefers.

Destinations are imaginary towns inspired by real places, illustrated like vintage postcards. When a plan is finished, the traveller sends a postcard home describing the trip, and a postcard album fills as more journeys are planned. Plans can be edited freely before the trip begins.

There is no booking, no real travel information and nothing to buy. The games simply enjoy the pleasure of planning a good journey, and every finished trip can be revisited to look for a smoother route. Travellers grow more demanding as the album fills, mixing wishes such as a quiet hotel, a sunrise view and a museum before lunch. Hints point to the part of the plan that clashes without solving it, and a calm soundtrack of trains and seaside sounds plays in the background while each route takes shape.
